Pistons

                                          All pistons were coated in quite a layer of carbon.

                         Oil control ring completely blocked with carbon deposits. Also the holes into the piston were blocked.

With the aid of 'oven cleaner' (thanks Ian M),the pistons cleaned up almost like new. Originl radial machining marks were still very prominent all round. Despite the sizes being slightly under, the cost of new pistons at around £100 each means these will be re-used.
