Oil Pump

        I was going to replace the oil pump as a matter of course. Checking the backlash confirmed the need to anyway.

        The job is so easy it should be considered as a service item, at the very least a check.

 

        BackLash = 0.3mm(limit is 0.2mm)                                End Float = <0.1mm (limit is 0.1 to 0.2mm)

         Gears removed from housing.                                         Crankshaft Drive gear for oil and distributor

                                                                              Be careful when cleaning, the teeth edges are razor sharp.  

         Oil cooler thermostatic Valve.                                              Pressure relief valve
