Rear Silencer Boxes

The standard mild steel rear boxes available normally last between 18 months and 2 years. Corrosion starts immediately from within and the first signs of problem are when the two entry pipes start to blow at the welded join. Despite the outward appearance of the box the inside will be a complete mess after 18 months. The box below was a Walker unit that I cut open to see what was inside (mostly rust).
